Two month update

Okay, it's a couple days after two months, but it's pretty close. Close enough to make me feel like I'm sort of keeping things updated here. I took a picture (I actually did that ON the two month date!), and I'm wishing that I had taken both front and side views (nobody--least of all me--wants to see a back view!). Oh well, front will have to do, at least for now. To be honest, I don't see much of a difference, but I feel it. I'm down from a snug 30/32 to a comfortable 26/28. I think I see it mostly in my face. (Pictures below)

Stats (this is the fun part): I've lost 40 lbs (30 since surgery). I am apparently not one of those people who drop pounds left and right. It seems to be more slow and steady for me. I'll take it, though. Heaven knows I've lost ten to twenty pounds over and over and over again. I'm thrilled to bits that every single week (almost) is more progress in the right direction. Even more fun are the numbers that don't show up on the bathroom scale. I just had labwork done last week. My cholesterol is down from 240 (should be under 200) to 175. My fasting blood sugars are normal, and my HbA1C which measures overall blood sugar control over several months, is 5.8% (a litte frame of reference here: diabetic goal level is <7%>

Here is my two month picture (sorry, no make-up), followed by the before picture for reference. Like I said, you reeeeeaaally have to look closely to see the difference. :-)
